I was delighted to be asked to teach a two day workshop at The British Library in December called All That Glitters: Decorative Capital Letters Masterclass, aligned with their exhibition, Fantasy: Realms of Imagination.
I'm showcasing a few of my own decorative capital letters here that were shown as examples for the class. They're inspired by some of my favourite fantasy books and themes and created using a mixture of gilding, watercolour, gouache and pen and ink techniques - all of which I demonstrated at the workshop.
If you would like to see me working on the Vasilisa's Skull-Lantern artwork, you can find the videos in the dedicated post.
For more information about The British Library workshop, see the post in my Journal folder or get in touch if you would like to discuss commissioning me to teach a workshop for your organisation or college.
