Gilding: Gilded Dragon Eyes Worksheet

Gilded Dragon Eye Worksheet: Flat and Raised Gilded with Black and Metallic Inks

These days, I still enjoy reading fantasy and science fiction but my interest in dragons now includes ones from myths and legends in ancient and medieval manuscripts.
Creating worksheets is often a way for me to experiment. I enjoy spending time combining words and images, as well as playing around with different media. I try not to overplan it and for better or worse, prefer to see how it develops naturally.

Here, I am experimenting with flat and raised gilding, as well as a wide range of black and metallic inks on a worksheet inspired by the idea of magical dragons' eyes. The lettering is influenced by my Gothic and Fraktur calligraphy studies. Spontaneous and playful, the creative journey is my main focus  when creating worksheets, I can learn a lot from unexpected results.
