Handwriting for Aruba Advertising Campaign Posters

I was asked by Lowe New York to work on a set of posters for the beautiful island of Aruba. The subjects were selected from inhabitants, rather than professional models and then asked to provide me with samples of their handwriting.

Taking these samples as a starting point I developed a style of lettering combined with spot illustrations for each poster that reflects something of their personalities and interests. The idea was to 'get inside their heads', letting us experience a little of each of their lives on this idyllic island.

These large format posters can be seen throughout the US on subways and bus shelters.
