As an avid reader, I'm always delighted to be asked to collaborate on books. This can take the form of cover art or book titles but I'm also often commissioned to develop hand lettered logos for author branding. These logos differ from simple author name type as they are designed to work as branding across a series of covers. This helps to establish a strong identity for new authors and can also be used to refresh established authors' backlists.
Author logos work to pull a body of work together and let readers, old and new, easily identify the covers on crowded bookshop shelves. In recent years, as authors have established themselves on blogs and online networks, a strong bespoke logo has become an invaluable asset for marketing.
